Does Cru's win-build-send strategy work in the Inner City.

Cru has a long term DNA of win-build-send. My perception is that CRU trains its staff to do this in ways that would have the best opportunity to achieve  measurable success according to the nation,…Continue

Brian Considine replied to Dennis Owen's discussion Is the mission of the local church to evangelize and produce disciples?
"Jerry, actually Jesus gives us the command to "evangelize," share the Good News, in Matthew 24:14. Teaching follows proclamation. The Great Commission has two parts, as should the disciple-making process - make disciples and teach them to…"

Jerry Stark replied to Dennis Owen's discussion Is the mission of the local church to evangelize and produce disciples?
"I am a simple minded follower of Christ. I truly believe we should lessen the use of the word, "Evangelize"! We should focus more on the use of Making Disciples. Depending on which definition you land on, to evangelize someone is either to…"

Does Cru's win-build-send strategy work in the Inner City.

Cru has a long term DNA of win-build-send. My perception is that CRU trains its staff to do this in ways that would have the best opportunity to achieve  measurable success according to the nation, people group, language, customs, culture, socioeconomic and "preferred learning" of the targeted audience being pursued. With this observation, I feel CRU Inner City Jax is like a caterpillar inside its cocoon trying to break out and become a butterfly.  CRU Inner City Jax primary target is African…See More

Is Love2020 moving us beyond a "pray-care-share" lifestyle to a life transformed by Jesus?

This article makes a provocative statement: "Christianity isn’t just a system of belief. It isn’t a lifestyle. It’s a life transformed by Jesus." http://www.relevantmagazine.com/god/were-called-make-disciples-not-converts I think his analysis is scratching where a lot of people are itching as we see evangelistic methods of the past not working today.  Certainly we believe something when we…See More
