In My Love For Jesus Christ:
When I am faithful to Him, my love for Jesus protects me from harsh punishment
Where do you think you would be today without the discipline of your parents when you were young? Sure, being grounded or hit with a belt was not pleasant, but did these things make you rebellious or more disciplined in your own life. How many times have you heard some people say that if it hadn't been for the discipline of their parents they might have turned out… Continue

Trust in ADONAI, and do good;
Settle in the land and feed on faithfulness.
Then you will delight yourself in ADONAI,
And He will give you your heart’s desire.
At the time of David, when you trust someone, you put your life in his hands. It is a picture of a man lying prostrate before a king. His whole… Continue

In Trust In Him:
"Who do you trust, hubba hubba? Who do you trust?" Yes, this is a line from the first Michael Keaton Batman movie, asked by the Joker towards the end of the film. What was he really asking here? Joker was talking to the people of Gotham about whether they should trust him (the bad guy) or Batman (the good guy). It all comes down to who you trust.
Where am I going with all of this? Let me ask you some questions about putting your trust in others. Who would you… Continue

Let's continue looking at forgiveness…
Seek the Lord and He will be merciful
Isaiah 55:6-7 says: "Turn to the Lord! He can still be found. Call out to God! He’s near. (7)Give up your crooked ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the Lord our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins" (Contemporary English Version -- The Promise).
Always remember that God will forgive you of every sin you have ever committed, will ever commit, and haven't yet committed. God… Continue

Even the prophets knew that Jesus would forgive me if I believe in Him
Hundreds of years before Jesus was even born, prophets (through the Holy Spirit) foretold not only of Jesus’ birth, but also of His miracles, His death and resurrection, and even how He would conduct His Kingdom. Today, I want to focus on forgiveness.
In Acts 10:43 we read, “All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his… Continue

For the next few posts, I will be talking about what having faith means for us in different areas of our lives. What will God do for me if I believe in His Son, Jesus?
As we all know people are always looking for the benefits of following someone or something, be it celebrities or athletes. One of the most used lines we humans tend to think or say when entering a relationship is usually "What do I get out of this relationship?", "What do I get out of this job?", or even "What's in… Continue

By Confessing My Sins To God
By Accepting Jesus Christ As The Lord Of My Life And Giving Him Control Over It
As I have said previously: this is the easy part. Remember, Jesus did the hard part by dying for us. The part He left us to do can be done right where you are now, physically, spiritually, mentally. How easy is our part in gaining salvation from Jesus? Read Romans 10:9-13: "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe it in your heart… Continue

Jesus Died To Save Me From Eternal Death
Here is a great scripture full of hope, truth, joy, peace, everything we all want out of life. This scripture contains the words that should make us want to shout in praise to the One who came to us to die. This scripture should awaken the hearts of every man, woman, and child who hears it. These words are the very words of freedom and glory. They are from the pen of Paul to Timothy, a young man who became to Paul as the son he would… Continue

In His great omnipotence, God knew that we, His Creation, would be a humanity of sinners. He knew that we would eventually want to go our own way without Him. But in His great love for us, His Creation, God already had a plan for how we could be restored into a holy relationship with Him once again. There was only one way to accomplish this, and that way was through His Son, Jesus Christ. On earth, Jesus was God in the flesh who walked around this earth showing His love for His… Continue

I want to talk about why we need to have faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus means that we can trust that when He saves us, He saves us for all time. We can believe with our whole hearts that Jesus has our best interests in His heart. But why do we need to believe in Jesus Christ, and why do I need Him in my life? Galatians 3:23-24 says that, "Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. (24)So the law was put in charge to lead… Continue

”Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds
from the mouth of ADONAI.”
The human body cannot live on GOD’s reality without spiritual food for the spirit; for we cannot separate the spirit from the body unless one is dead. Whatever is active in the spirit by faith is ultimately translated in the body. It is the… Continue

By Reading And Studying God's Word In The Bible Continue
Romans 10:17 tells us that, "Consequently, faith comes by hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word Of Christ" (New International Version).
The Holy Bible. The Word of God. The Word of Christ. The Holy Scriptures. The Word. However you want to name them , we are talking about the words of God in the Old Testament, and the words of Jesus in the New Testament, and the words the Holy Spirit gave to those whom…

Christians Live By Faith, Not By Sight
Second Corinthians 5:7 tells us that, "We live by faith, and not by sight. It's what we trust in but don't yet see that keeps us going" (The Message).
As we discussed earlier, faith is the hope for things not yet seen. When you pray, you are accessing the power of faith, because you want what you are praying for to come true. When you pray you can't see the answer, but you will when God decides that it is time for you to have the answer.… Continue

I Was Born A Sinner
Romans 3:23-24 gives us one of the most truthful statements that God has ever spoken concerning not only how He sees us , but also how much He loves us. The scripture says that, "All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. (24)But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, He freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins" (Contemporary English Version -- The Promise).
What do you think the response would be if you… Continue

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 that faith, "is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see" (New Living Translation). In other words, it means that we have a belief that in the future events that the Bible says will happen will indeed happen. Continue
Only with faith from God can we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and is the only One who can save us from our sins; that He died on a cross (Good…

This post is not about me. This post is about Jesus and what He has done and is currently doing in my life. It is my hope to show you how Jesus can take your life and make it into the kind of life you have always been yearning to live. Some of the things I talk about in this current post and in others in the future may be hard to hear, hard to believe, and hard to stomach. But these things will have to be talked about, especially when we get to talk about why things in this world are the… Continue

You've been seeking fulfillment all of your life. Nothing on this Earth is satisfying to you anymore. You've searched and searched for years, bouncing between one thing after another: a material thing (car, house, clothes, job, etc...); pornography; a relationship with people you know you shouldn't get involved with (a married man or woman, for instance). The list is endless. Never in this world will you ever fully satisfy that empty place in your soul that you are longing to fill.… Continue

Are you being a good steward of your small group (or church, ministry, family, business ...)?
I've written about this before in reference to how you are discipling and shepherding the group God has put under your care (1 Peter 5:2). That's vital to leading a healthy small group or anything else. But there's even more to it than that.
How are you using all the gifts and abilities and passions of the people entrusted to you?
